The subject matter of the series is largely based around the theme of 'free improvisation', 'experimental electronic music' and 'free thinking' as we know it in a modern context. Let Iran Speak

A collection of new pieces made under commission for Amnesty International. Following in the work of the Amnesty Urgent Action campaign, these are a set of pieces discussing the release of Iranian prisoner Leyla Farzadi who was unlawfully arrested by the state on 17th June. The collection aims to use letters sent to the state demanding her release, along with mixed media materials and diagrams of parts of the human brain including the retina to send a strong message that members of the public need to question the news around them including information in the mainstream media that presents urgent information to the public in a way that the public feels unable to take action. A collection of images to question the indolent attitude of people in the face of people who are in a situation where they can be helped, where groups like amnesty have already set up the infrastructure to give them a voice.

Mixed Media Exhibition

On Friday November 7th there will be a reception for a new one week exhibtion at the St James Wine Vaults. Over 40 works of art will be available for sale by local masterminds:

The material ranges from photographic prints to abstract, mixed media, and static art on canvas. The themes in the work.......................... well there's no need to write a novel on a website! If you are in the area you will know that the competing galleries offer modern art at prices that look like listings for a local mercedes outlet - and they are rarely the originals!
